This Beetle is a third-owner car that has been a treasured part of our family for the past 30 years. It was my father's trusty daily driver, reliably and faithfully serving him on every commute and errand. What's more, the car is still powered by its original 6-volt circuitry, driving the original 1200cc engine and transmission.

Maintenance on this classic Beetle has been consistent and meticulous. The engine and transmission, while never needing a rebuild, have been thoroughly maintained to ensure their integrity. In the interest of performance and reliability, the alternator was replaced with a NOS (New Old Stock) Bosch unit. Other systems have been carefully repaired as needed, but we have always preserved the engine's original components and likewise the transmission.

The interior of this Beetle offers an experience that beautifully blends classic and modern. The original, fully functional, Blaupunkt radio is now paired with a modern Pioneer speaker for superior audio fidelity. As the only modification to the vehicle, an electronic gas gauge was added to provide the comfort of daily driving without the guesswork of determining the fuel level - a discreet, yet appreciable modern touch.

This particular Beetle has an intriguing backstory. It was originally delivered to Colombia and had two owners before being brought to the U.S. in May, 2022. As a car destined for the South American market, it features a speedometer in KM/H, giving it a unique character.
